Am Mittwoch kam es bei der WSOP Paradise zu einer Szene, die in der Poker-Community f\u00fcr heftige Diskussionen sorgt. <\/span>Eric Wasserson<\/span><\/a> entschied sich ausgerechnet am Final Table Bubble des $25.000 Super Main Events f\u00fcr einen der kontroversesten Moves im Poker – einen klassischen Slowroll gegen den achtfachen Bracelet-Gewinner Benny Glaser.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pocket Aces und maximale Provokation<\/span><\/h2>\n

Die Situation war ohnehin schon angespannt. Nur noch zehn Spieler waren im Rennen um den ersten Preis von 10 Millionen Dollar. Glaser hatte mit 89,5 Millionen Chips einen der k\u00fcrzeren Stacks und entschied sich mit Ass-Dame f\u00fcr den All-In. Wasserson hielt Pocket Aces – eigentlich ein Instant-Call in dieser Situation. Stattdessen bat er um einen Count, tankte minutenlang und spielte Theater, w\u00e4hrend die Kommentatoren bereits verwirrt reagierten.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kommentator Randy Lew brachte es auf den Punkt: „Sollte er nicht schon l\u00e4ngst gecallt haben? Er hat nach einem Count gefragt und seine Hand doppelt gecheckt. Das ist l\u00e4cherlich.“ Als Wasserson schlie\u00dflich callte und seine Aces zeigte, war Glaser alles andere als am\u00fcsiert. Der Brite schied als zehnter aus und kassierte 665.875 Dollar Trostpflaster.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alte Rechnungen aus Las Vegas<\/span><\/h2>\n

Nach seinem Aus \u00e4u\u00dferte sich Glaser deutlich: „Offensichtlich nicht sehr stilvoll. Kein guter Mensch, kein netter Move. Aber es ist eher die Traurigkeit \u00fcber das Ausscheiden. Ein Teil von mir hat es fast von ihm erwartet.“ Glaser deutete an, dass es zwischen den beiden bereits seit der WSOP im vergangenen Sommer eine Vorgeschichte gibt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wasserson selbst zeigte sich im Interview mit PokerNews wenig reum\u00fctig. Auf sarkastische Weise bestritt er den Slowroll und schob alles auf den „gro\u00dfen Payjump“. Die Poker-Community ist gespalten – w\u00e4hrend einige den Move als psychologische Kriegsf\u00fchrung verteidigen, sehen die meisten darin einen klaren Versto\u00df gegen die ungeschriebenen Regeln des Spiels.<\/span><\/p>\n

Erfolgreicher Abschluss f\u00fcr Wasserson<\/span><\/h2>\n

Trotz der Kontroverse erreichte Wasserson das offizielle Final Table mit 130,5 Millionen Chips und Platz f\u00fcnf im Chipcount. Der Chinese Yinan Zhou gewann das Event sp\u00e4ter f\u00fcr 6 Millionen Dollar und sein erstes Bracelet.
