In november 2023 nam hij een video op voor YouTube waarin hij zijn tijdelijke afscheid aankondigde.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Na een lange stilte gaf hij afgelopen week een teken van leven, waarin hij onder andere uitlegde hoe hij omging met een downswing van $800.000.<\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"beriuzy_keert_terug_met_youtube_video\">Beriuzy keert terug met YouTube video<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>De terugkeer van Beriuzy vond plaats op YouTube, hij plaatste iets meer dan een week geleden een documentaire over &#8216;de realiteit van poker&#8217;. In de video legt hij het een en ander uit over zijn tijd als professionele pokerspeler, onder ander hoe hij omging met de enorme downswing.<\/p>\n<p>Vooral de eerlijkheid van Beriuzy wordt door de kijkers zeer gewaardeerd. Hij gaat diep in op zijn downswing die tijdelijk een einde maakte aan zijn online pokercarri\u00e8re. De grote verliezen hadden naar eigen zeggen een groot effect op zijn mentale gezondheid. Na de pauze van zijn online pokercarri\u00e8re en YouTube-kanaal, stapte Beriuzy over naar het live poekr circuit. Hij werd uiteindelijk tweede in de $3500 WPT Seminole Rock &#8216;N Roll Poker Open en won $600.000 terug.<\/p>\n<p>Ook hier is hij eerlijk over, waarin hij aangeeft dat hij voor dit toernooi zo&#8217;n 50% van zijn actie verkocht had aan vrienden. Een halfjaar later haalde hij nog eens een grote finaletafel en begin 2025 had hij de downswing nagenoeg teruggewonnen.<\/p>\n<p>Rayan Chamas woont in Canada, maar speelde de meeste van de live pokertoernooien in de Verenigde Staten. Mogelijk ook vanwege <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/nl\/2025\/09\/04\/deze-canadese-pokerroom-vraagt-enorme-rake-maar-blijft-drukbezocht\/\">de hoge rake die in enkele Canadese pokerrooms gerekend wordt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In de video legt Beriuzy meer uit over hoe hij omging met de downswing en hoe hij <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pokerscout.com\/nl\/guides\/wat-is-tilt-in-poker-en-hoe-voorkom-je-het\/\">tilt probeerde te voorkomen<\/a>.
