Is Pokerklas Still Running Today?
Pokerklas is up and running as we speak, receiving traffic levels that are comparable with other European poker sites. At peak times, there are around 1,000 players active on the platform. Customers can choose to play poker, bet on sports, or try a wide selection of casino games such as slots, roulette and blackjack.
One key benefit we noticed during our Pokerklas review is that cryptocurrency is permitted. Withdrawal times are speedy on the whole, and no commission is taken when depositing money.
When signing up, you’ll receive a welcome bonus that you can unlock by accruing points as you play. It’s not quite as lucrative as its competitors. You can claim a decent rakeback of up to 20%, but there’s no other VIP program.
After sign-up, you can choose from both Texas Hold’em and Omaha poker games at varying stake levels. Most of the action for Hold’em can be found at the lower-buy-in games, with a sharp drop-off as the stakes rise. For cash games, you’ll find around 15 active mid-stakes tables and an average of just five at the higher stakes. The most popular Omaha games – both NL and PL – are at the mid-stakes level.
Being from Turkey, the platform also hosts ‘Turkish Poker’: a fast-paced variant of 5-card draw which is played with a smaller deck and is limited to a maximum of five players.
If you’re looking for tournament play, you’ll probably be disappointed. Pokerklas is all about cash games.
Pokerklas Alternatives
By the time we’d finished our Pokerklas review, we’d noticed quite a few shortcomings:
No US players. Although Pokerklas permits players from countries outside of its native Turkey, players from the US and many other regions are prohibited.
No English support. Being based in Turkey also means that all Pokerklas customer support is in Turkish, including the live chat. English-speaking players will struggle.
Questionable reputation. Another drawback is the reputation of safety and reliability at Pokerklas. There are limited responsible gaming options and some reports of slow and delayed payouts. In fact, there have been reports of Pokerklas skins being taken down and customers not being paid back. One site reported that their players lost over $15,000 on the Klas Poker Network.
No USD. Crypto is accepted, but figures are displayed as Turkish lira, making it less user-friendly to those from outside the country.
Average software. In terms of usability, the software at Pokerklas is functional and has all the usual features and settings, but lacks the polished and smooth interfaces of its rivals.
For a more dependable and varied game, read our CoinPoker review, as this is the new place to be in poker.
The benefits of CoinPoker include the fact that you can play using cryptocurrency, which means instant withdrawals and a level of anonymity. You can get 33% rakeback (much more than Pokerklas) when you use their native cryptocurrency, CHP.
Unlike their competitors, CoinPoker offers a multitude of huge, thrilling tournaments which offer chances to play and win at all stakes. At the same time, it hosts some of the hottest cash games in this space, so it really does deliver the best of both worlds.
