Battle of Malta qualifying online at 888poker

Players looking to find a seat into the Main Event at a bargain price will find 888poker satellites starting at just one cent. Players can also buy in to qualifiers directly for $55 and $109. The $1,700 luxury package to Malta includes:

  • Hotel accommodations for four nights

The Main Event features five starting flights from Oct. 5-9. A turbo flight is planned for Oct. 9 with Day 2 kicking off the same day. Day 3 follows on Oct. 10 with the action wrapping up a day later with the final table streamed live.

The ChampionChip Games recently concluded at 888 with plenty of lower-priced action throughout the series. The festival featured 26 events, producing a total of 26,028 entries and awarding $486,299 in prize money.

Players from Brazil dominated the series, capturing 10 titles. Players from the United Kingdom had four victories with Ukrainians finding three, and players from Belarus scoring two.

The $60 Main Event highlighted the series with a $200,000 guarantee. The tournament attracted 3,386 players with 484 rebuys for a prize pool of $212,850.

With nine players remaining, the UK’s “The_Hoff_Man” was eighth in chips but began to rally. Hoff eventually completed the comeback, defeating Moldova’s “Zlodei228” heads-up for the title and $26,203. “Zlodei228” took home $18,710 for runner-up.

The $16.50 Mini Main Event saw 1,087 players with 347 rebuys for a $21,510 prize pool. Germany’s “joehighfritz” topped Brazil’s “WGBrunelli” in heads-up play to claim the title $3,143. The Brazilian scored $2,297 for runner-up.

The $5.50 buy-in Micro Main Event produced 1,313 players with 570 rebuys. Brazil’s “ErikyDani” came out on top for $2,072.

The series also produced one double winner. “Britopoker22” outlasted a 1,896-entry field in the $5 Made to Amaze tournament to claim the $1,381 top prize.

Three days later, the Brazilian also added another title  in the $22 Marathon Deepstack. That tournament saw 644 entries and Britopoker22 scored another $12,880.

The Battle of Malta Online begins Sunday at GGPoker, running July 10-31 with at least €25 million guaranteed.

Online poker players have plenty of mid-stakes tournament action to check out at GGPoker beginning Sunday. The Battle of Malta Online runs July 10-31 with at least €25 million guaranteed.

GGPoker Battle Of Malta Online highlights

Players have plenty of nice options to check out throughout the series. The €555 Main Event (Event 18) highlights the series with €2.5 million guaranteed. The final day of play is set for July 31.

Another big event is Event 7: €50 Global MILLION$ European Cup with €1 million guaranteed. That final day is set for July 17.

Battle of Malta Players Fight It Out At GGPoker With $25M Guaranteed

Once again the Battle of Malta heads to GGPoker this year. Launched in 2012, the festival is one of the most popular stand-alone live poker events in Europe.

GGPoker and Casino Malta/Olympic Casino announced Wednesday the Battle of Malta returns online in 2021. The series runs July 11-25 with a $25 million series guarantee.

“It’s summertime in Malta, and things are heating up on and off the tables,” Olympic Entertainment Group poker manager Jaan Vaabel said in a news release. “This year’s Battle of Malta Online allows players to take aim at massive cash prizes for relatively modest buy-ins, with at least $25 million guaranteed. There will be a lot of prizes to go around.”

GGPoker Battle of Malta highlights

The Battle of Malta is now open to online poker players around the world. Each flagship event also comes with some extras – awarding a special winner’s trophy.

Additionally, 15 special tournaments will award a unique Battle of Malta winner’s ring on top of cash. The €550 Main Event highlights the series on July 25 with a €3 million guarantee.

Players will find numerous starting flights and satellite events throughout the series. A few other highlights include:

  • €105 Siege of Malta Bounty MILLION$ (Event 2, July 11, final stage) – €1 million guaranteed
  • €220 Kings of Tallinn Main Event (Event 9, July 18) – €500,000 guaranteed
  • €50 MILLION$ European Cup (Event 10, July 18, final day) – €1 million guaranteed
  • €525 Bounty for the King Royal Championship (Event 17, July 25) – €500,000 guaranteed

Beyond the championship events, players will also find numerous side events with buy-ins starting at just $25. GG will also host a Player of the Series leaderboard throughout the series.

More than €25,000 in Battle of Malta 2021 live packages is up for grabs to the top 20 players. The overall Player of the Series earns a €3,165 package, which includes Battle of Malta main event and high roller tickets.

Others in the top 10 earn packages that include hotel accommodations. The Battle of Malta returns to a live venue in October.
