Nik Claims Career-Best Score at King’s Million

Royal scepter and poker chips on a final table after a major live tournament victory

Romania’s Nik won the €1,150 EPC Super Main Event at King’s Resort for €546,100, emerging from a field of 7,013 entries at the inaugural 2026 King’s Million European Poker Championship. He defeated France’s Christophe Vincent heads-up to claim the title and the King’s Million Royal Scepter, according to PokerNews.

The payday followed a four-way deal and was the largest live poker score of Nik’s career. The turnout and €6,855,207 prize pool made the event a substantial centerpiece for the first edition of the championship.

The €1,150 tournament drew players through eight opening flights and played out over seven days. Day 1e alone accounted for 1,763 entries, while 852 players returned in the money to start Day 2.

The final field exceeded the event’s advertised guarantee, though the PokerNews report did not state the guarantee amount. The scale of the turnout placed the Super Main Event among the defining results of the new series at King’s Resort; the venue has also hosted other European Poker Championship events, including the EPC Masters.

Four-way deal reshapes the final payouts

When four players remained, the clock was paused and they agreed to adjust the payouts, leaving more than €200,000 to play for. Nik was third in chips at the time, and the arrangement guaranteed each of the four at least €400,000, with additional money going to the top two.

Nik soon doubled with pocket eights, then eliminated Bulgaria’s Lyubomir in third place with queens. He entered heads-up play against Vincent with a substantial advantage and secured the title with two pair on the final hand.

The final-table payouts reflected the deal: Nik collected €546,100, Vincent took €462,600, Lyubomir received €558,200 and Luxembourg’s Mike Neuens earned €452,300. The remaining finishers were Mourad Tounnouti in fifth for €202,300, Wiktor Weiner in sixth for €148,300, Pavel Stribrny in seventh for €111,300, Erdinc Guentay in eighth for €82,800 and Italy’s Antonio Sciacca in ninth for €61,300.

The first four payouts were marked as deal figures in the tournament results. Nik had bagged in the middle of the pack for Day 2, then returned to the top of the leaderboard after Day 3; he led the field on every subsequent day, according to the report.

A major result at a familiar venue

The win capped a run of strong results for Nik at King’s. He had reached a final table in the €1,000 Mystery Bounty earlier in the series, won a King’s Resort WSOP Circuit ring in the €3,000 High Roller in January, and made four other final tables at the venue since 2023.

This time, the Romanian left with the series’ largest prize and the Royal Scepter. The €546,100 result marked a new personal high in live poker, earned after navigating one of the event’s largest fields and closing out the title against Vincent.
