PokerStars has announced the dates for the 24th edition of its most longstanding tournament series, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). The series will run from September 7 to October 1.

Prior to the start of the main series, PokerStars is also offering WCOOP Boot Camp, for the second year. This lower-stakes miniseries will take place from August 3 to August 18.

(Jump to the schedule.)

WCOOP Boot Camp offers $9 million in guarantees and differs from other low-stakes series in that its 137 events span a wide range of poker games and formats not often seen outside WCOOP.

There will be plenty of No-Limit Hold’em on the menu, of course. However, mixed game fans will also see games like H.O.R.S.E, Razz, and even a rare chance to play Badugi against a decent-sized field. Although buy-ins are lower than for WCOOP, the Boot Camp still offers a wide range of stakes, from as low $2.20 to as high as $5,200.

The highlight events of Boot Camp are the two different Main Events, both on August 17:

  • $109 NLH Main Event Low – $600,000 GTD
  • $1,050 NLH Main Event High – $400,000 GTD

One of the features of Boot Camp is the chance for players to be coached by ambassadors. PokerStars will team up with BBZ Poker and use ambassadors Lex Veldhuis, Ben “Spraggy” Spragg, Fintan Hand, and Parker Talbot for coaching.

There will also be three opportunities for free coaching from Jordan Drummond on August 1, 8, and 15th on the PokerStars Discord server.

Boot Camp Leaderboard

Players can earn WCOOP tickets through Boot Camp promotions. The Boot Camp leaderboard will reward the most consistent players across tournaments with $60,000 in Power Passes, including:

  • 1st to 4th: $10,300 Gold Power Pass (ticket bundle)
  • 5th to 8th: $2,500 Silver Power Pass
  • 9th to 100th: $109 Bronze Power Pass

There is also $150,000 in ticket giveaways with the WCOOP Boot Camp Ticket Machine promotion.

WCOOP remains a fixture of PokerStars even as it’s making other changes to its offerings. For instance, Flash Spin & Go is gone, while the browser-based client has been receiving a lot of work.

The full schedule for 2025 WCOOP has not been released yet. However, judging by WCOOP Boot Camp and previous years, it should be as varied as it is extensive.
