WSOP Online Circuit Series Returns in August With 12-Event Schedule and WSOP Paradise Package Up for Grabs

The WSOP Online Circuit Series will return August 7-18. Though offering $1.5 million in guarantees, the August series is a step down in size from other recent instalments, consisting of just 12 events. Since 2018, the Online Circuit Series has allowed players a chance to win Circuit rings without making the trip to a live stop on the tour.

WSOP recently expanded its online offerings. June’s Mega Circuit consisted of 24 events while the July Super Circuit featured 18. August’s schedule is a return to the more traditional 12-event slate.

These latest instalments of the Online Circuit now include players from four states served by WSOP.com: Nevada, New Jersey, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania was added to the WSOP shared liquidity pool in late April after many years of waiting.

One of the new features of the August series is that the winners of each ring will also receive a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package. These prizes include a $2,750 buy-in to the opening event in The Bahamas, plus $2,250 for hotel expenses.

Those packages come in place of the traditional entry into now-discontinued Tournament of Champions. That annual freeroll for Circuit winners featured a $1 million prize pool, but it was scrapped this year in favor of sending players to WSOP Paradise.

WSOP introduced its “Paradise” series in 2023, which takes place at The Atlantis. That venue was formerly host to the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, which was discontinued in 2019. WSOP has been keen to promote the new series in any way possible, including a bubble promotion at this summer’s Main Event, which awarded a Paradise Main Event package to the last player eliminated before the money.

Series Highlights

  • The premier event of the August circuit is the $250,000 Main Event on August 17 at 2 p.m. PST, which has a $250K guarantee and a $525 buy-in.
  • The largest buy-in event of the circuit is for $1,000 in the $100K High Roller.
  • The lowest buy-in point to take a shot at a ring is $100 in the Mystery Bounty event.
  • One non-NLH event with the PLO Big $500 6-Max
