America’s Cardroom (ACR) will introduce a livestream for every upcoming final table of the weekly “Phil’s Thrill” high-stakes tournament. Starting this Sunday, Aug. 17, the $10,300 buy-in event will have its final table play featured on the ACR Twitch channel.

The new high roller tournament, named after ACR CEO Phil Nagy, debuted a little more than a month ago on July 6. It now begins every Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. The first version attracted 46 entries, and the largest field so far happened on Aug. 3 (67 entries). “Down2Muck” topped 59 entries in the most recent edition and won $165,200.

ACR brass hopes the weekly stream will grow the number of entries and produce a loyal following of players who will play or tune in weekly.

ACR’s Rob Kuhn To Lead Commentary

ACR ambassador pro Rob Kuhn will lead commentary for the final tables. Each week, he will welcome a new guest as a co-commentator. Kuhn shared his anticipation for the weekly commentary:

I’m excited to get involved and share the excitement of Phil’s Thrill final table action live on stream with the poker community. Playing a final table is always special, but doing it live in front of thousands of fans takes the adrenaline to a whole new level.

Three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Dylan Linde, who had a strong WSOP summer leading a $25K Fantasy team, will sit in as the first special guest joining Kuhn this Sunday.

The tournaments have attracted a few big names so far. English online poker legend and Kuhn’s fellow ACR-sponsored pro Chris Moorman finished as runner-up last Sunday for $118,000. He was likewise complimentary of the event after his big result.

Playing in Phil’s Thrill was a blast from start to finish. The structure kept things competitive and fun, with everyone at the table locked in. It’s the kind of tournament that makes you want to play again, and I can’t wait to see how the live-streamed final table turns up the intensity.
