Canadians looking for a little Las Vegas action may have a new reason to make the trip.
As the gambling mecca looks to attract more international visitors, Circa Las Vegas is trying something a bit unconventional: letting Canadian guests pay in Canadian dollars at par with the US dollar.
It’s clear that even the most famous Vegas properties are feeling a slump in international visits thanks to a variety of factors including rising costs, geopolitical concerns and US economic policies.
The “At Par” promotion is the most recent attempt to persuade Canadians to give Sin City another chance.
How the “At Par” Promotion works
The Vegas At Par promotion is available at three Circa properties:
- Circa Resort & Casino
- The D Las Vegas
- Golden Gate Hotel & Casino.
The website detailing the promotion simply says “No exchange rate. All the fun.”
How it works is simple. Canadian visitors to these properties will pay 1 Canadian Dollar (CAD) as though it were $1 USD. The Canadian dollar is currently worth about 72 cents, which makes for a 25-30% percent discount on gaming hotel stays, and select bars at Circa properties.
The offer is broken up into three parts: slots, hotel, and beverage.
Slots At Par
The slots offer is available at Club One in Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas, or Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. Customers simply need to provide Canadian identification at any of the aforementioned properties. Canadian players can bring up to 500 CAD or USD for an at-par exchange.
The voucher comes as a single-use promotional voucher based on the exchange rate at the time of redemption.
Hotel Stays At Par
Canadian travelers can book stays at any of the three Circa properties in Vegas for an At Par rate granted at the time of check-in. To redeem this deal, visitors can book online or via phone at 833-247-2258. The rate will be adjusted at check-in according to the current exchange rate. Customers must present a valid Canadian ID to redeem the offer at check-in.
This hotel offer can’t be combined with any other discounts, but there’s no limit on eligible stays.
Beverages At Par
Finally, three bars at Circa properties are part of the At Par promotion:
- BarCanada at The D Las Vegas
- BarProhibition! At Golden Gate Hotel & Casino
- Overhang Bar at Circa Resort and Casino
With a valid Canadian passport or government-issued ID, you’ll get the discount on drink purchases at any of these bars instantly.
Important Terms and Conditions
Naturally, a discount this big comes with plenty of terms to know.
First, the Canadian guest needs to be 21 or older, which is self-explanatory for a Vegas-based offer. Second, they must be a Club One member. That’s Circa’s loyalty program, and enrollment is free. Third, the promotion runs from January 2026 through August 31, 2026. Circa reserves the right to end the promotion at any time.
The slot credit promotion can be used only on one slot and expires 72 hours after the player receives the voucher. Once the player chooses a slot game, the expiration becomes 11:59 PM that night. The voucher can’t be used on electronic table games, wide area progressive slots, or select other machines (including Golden Gate’s video poker machines).
What the Promotion Means
Circa’s Canadian dollar experiment may be limited in scope, but it reflects a broader shift in Las Vegas tourism marketing strategies.
The current US political landscape has been challenging for international visitors. The city is courting visitors in an increasingly competitive travel economy. Casinos are leaning into specific incentives to draw visitors from neighboring locales. The Circa promotion should be an interesting case study.
