The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, experienced a partial rooftop structure collapse that injured five people over the weekend.

A windy Saturday in South Florida saw sudden gusts up to 30 mph. One of those gusts in the evening, sometime after 7 p.m., caused a gazebo in the outdoor area of the DAER Day and Night Club on the roof of the casino to collapse. The gazebo’s collapse led to five non-life-threatening injuries. Individuals involved underwent treatment at the local hospital.

Cellphone footage showed the aftermath of the collapse. Several people can be seen tending to the injured. One woman grasped her nose with a bandage to stem the bleeding, and a man held an ice pack on his head.

The collapse was reportedly entirely due to the elements and had nothing to do with any structural weaknesses. Authorities have launched an investigation to confirm that belief. The club closed for the remainder of Saturday evening following the incident.
