888poker announced the launch of the The Anniversary Selection series of promotions on Thursday for the last two months of the year. The new events come in part of 888’s 20th anniversary celebration and cap the year for the online poker site.
The Anniversary Selection includes six different promotions and activities from Nov. 17 – Jan. 4. The efforts are designed to reward players for their loyalty to the site, which was recently named the EGR Poker Operator of the Year.

A look at 88poker’s new promotions
Players at 888 will find some nice prizes and rewards up for grabs as part of the two-month promotion. A major part of the Anniversary Selection is the super-sized $2 million BLAST.
The events feature a $20 buy-in from Nov. 17 – Jan. 4 with a chance at a huge seven-figure prize pool. This is twice the usual maximum jackpot in the popular Sit & Go events.
The site is also giving away 20 exclusive $2,000 888pokerLIVE packages over the next two months. Players simply have to buy in to online poker tournaments with a minimum buy-in of $1.
Those finishing in the money could earn a ticket into a live event giveaway freeroll. The top five finishers in the event earn a $2,000 live event package.
Even more up for grabs with Anniversary Selection
Beyond those two events, 888 is offering even more in the coming months. That includes 20% extra rakeback on cash games played from Nov. 24-31.
This extra is on top of any other rakeback a player has earned during this period. Some other upcoming events include:
- Happy Holidays Sale: Tournament Series – This promotion features slashed buy-ins on some of 888’s most popular tournaments from Dec. 19-26.
- $20,000 Anniversary Freeroll – Those who play 20 tournaments or more with a $1 minimum buy-in from Nov. 25 – Dec. 24 receive a ticket to the $20,000 Anniversary Freeroll. The event runs on Dec. 25 with plenty of free Christmas cash on the line.
- Holiday Megawheel – All players get a chance to spin the wheel for some extra goodies during this holiday season.
Other 888 news
Beyond these promotions, 888poker also recently made some other news. On Tuesday, the site announced the signing of Spanish poker pro and YouTube vlogger Lucia Navarro.
“I am super excited and grateful to be part of a strong and diverse team of ambassadors at 888poker,” she said in a news release “The brand is dedicated to player enjoyment and satisfaction, which are some of the reasons I decided to wear the 888poker patch.”
The operator also announced changes recently to the site’s BLAST jackpot games. 888 has removed the timer and automatic all-in features from the sit & go games.
