A look at the 888poker Live action

888poker Live Weekend may show how much players around the world are craving live poker. The tournament had a £50,000 guarantee, but attracted 386 entries and 304 re-entries for a £276,000 prize pool.

The event featured four starting flights, meaning plenty of opportunities to secure a Day 2 seat for Oct. 31. In the end, Keith Hoang walked away with the top prize of £71,740  and the winner’s trophy. This player from the United Kingdom battled Tamer Kamel heads-up for the title.

The final hand saw Hoang’s pocket Jacks flop a set against Kamel’s J-10 to secure the win. Kamel scored £49,405 for runner-up. The win notched the biggest tournament score of Hoang’s career.

Some members of Team 888poker turned out for the event including Vivian Saliba (pictured in lead image). 888 StreamTeam member Josh Manley also joined her in the field.

Manley has seen his Twitch stream grow in popularity as he continues to rack up online cashes. He didn’t cash in this event, but enjoyed his time getting back to the live action.

Of the 386 runners, 57 cashed for a minimum of £830. Making the final table guaranteed the final nine players at least £3,865.

888poker officials were pleased to see 888 Live return in a big way. Organizers have promised more live events in the coming months.

These three special tournaments will run every Sunday from Nov. 3-28 at the same price points but with higher guarantees. The three tournaments receiving a boost include:
