UKPC qualifiers coming to GGPoker

The UKPC promises plenty of action for those heading to Nottingham. GG players can get in the action at a reduced prize point via online qualifiers. These start at just a single dollar.

“GGPoker is thrilled to partner with Dusk Till Dawn and ensure our players now have an opportunity of winning their way into the UKPC Main Event, one of the highlights of the UK’s poker year,” GGPoker UK and Ireland head of marketing Angela Martin said in a news release.

“There’s at least £500,000 to be won, and with satellites from $1, we hope to see some players turn a tiny online buy-in into a huge live score at the UKPC!”

Currently running GGPoker satellites to the UKPC main event include:

  • Daily Dollar Qualifiers – These award one seat daily for just $1 beginning Oct. 17. A total of 60 tickets will be awarded via Daily Dollar Qualifiers.
  • Weekly $80 Super Satellites – These run every Wednesday beginning Oct. 26. One seat is awarded for every £560 ($640) in the prize pool with eight seats guaranteed in each weekly event.

GG will unveil other qualifying options in the coming weeks. All GGPoker Main Event qualifiers also earn entry into an exclusive UKPC Aftermath £25,000 Freeroll, offering players another nice live poker opportunity at the series.

All qualifiers can play their preferred online Day 1 starting flight at GGPoker, either Jan. 7 or 12. The top 20% move on to play the live Day 2 at Dusk till Dawn. Players can also buy in directly into the Main Event starting flights hosted at GG.

WSOP Online adds new bracelet events for players in Ontario

The WSOP Online recently concluded at GGPoker and also concludes this week in the US at WSOP.com. The two companies partner in Ontario and announced Monday the addition of three WSOP bracelet events coming to WSOP.ca.

The bracelet events are set for Oct. 23 and 30. The three events act as the finale to this year’s WSOP Online.

“Winning authentic WSOP gold bracelets is one big reason to play on the licensed and regulated WSOP.ca site in Ontario,” WSOP executive director Ty Stewart said in a news release. “We’re expecting these tournaments will be some of the biggest of the year, therefore it’s a great way to celebrate a highly successful launch.”

[cta id=3851 type=cta]

Here’s a look at the schedule for the Ontario bracelet events.

  • Event 1: BIG 150 Ontario MILLION$ – final stage, Oct. 23
  • Event 2: $210 Omaholic Bounty MILLION$ – final stage, Oct. 30
  • Event 3: $1,050 GGMasters Online Championship – final stage, Oct. 30

“Three WSOP bracelets will be won this month by Ontario-based players, and I’m thrilled to be the one to reveal this exciting news,” GG ambassador and six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu said.

“Poker is in a great place right now in my home province, and it’s so cool that Ontarian players can play for a WSOP bracelet from home. What a way to end WSOP Online 2022!”

GO TIME: Grand Prix UK Returns to PartyPoker, Dusk Till Dawn With £100,000 Guaranteed

The Grand Prix Spring Edition from PartyPoker runs March 16 – April 3 with buy-ins from $0.55 to $109 with a total of $3 million guaranteed.

Players who missed PartyPoker’s Grand Prix UK in July now have a chance to jump in the action again. PartyPoker LIVE hosts the tournament again in September, offering players the chance to win some cash both online and live at Dusk Till Dawn.

Grand Prix UK features a £120 buy-in and runs at the property from Sept. 7-11 with £100,000 guaranteed. Online starting flights begin Sept. 4 and run for four days as well.

“We’re loving the fact that the PartyPoker Grand Prix UK is becoming a regular part of the Dusk Till Dawn schedule,” PartyPoker head of Live events Dan Rose said in a news release. “The low buy-in, high-guarantee events, alongside numerous satellites, allow players of all bankrolls the chance to win big. We hope to see lots of new and familiar faces at our next Grand Prix UK.”

[cta id=2982 type=cta]

More details on PartyPoker’s Grand Prix UK

Party is opening up the fun for players of all bankrolls. Satellites begin running Aug. 21 and buy-ins start at just £0.01.

Winners in the centrolls cash in for a £3.30 Phase 1 ticket, which can then lead to a £16.50 Phase final. Players in the final then have a chance to win their place into an online Day 1.

There are even more opportunities to win in the Grand Prix UK this time. Players can now take advantage of the PartyPoker REPLAY feature. Any player who satellites into the online Day 1A and is eliminated before Day 2, receives a £16.50 satellite ticket to try again. REPLAY gives players a chance to win a place into online Day 1B.

Live starting flights

When the online starting flights conclude, the first live Day 1 takes place at Dusk Till Dawn the following day on Sept. 8. Four more starting flights then kick off across the next two days, before Day 2 on Sept. 11.

All players who reach Day 2 will cash in the tour2nament. A tournament champion is then crowned on the second day of action as well.

Players have the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Beihao Wang. He scored the title, £25,000, and winner’s trophy in the last Grand Prix UK earlier this month.

Wang topped a field of 1,507 players and all final table players locked in payouts of at least four figures. Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

The Hippodrome serves as PokerStars’s partner for the series and the casino will also host cash games during the series.  Beyond the Main Event several other tournaments are also schedules.

Players with even bigger bankrolls may want to check out the £50,000 Super High Roller, running Oct. 21-23. Hippodrome officials are pleased to the EPT action returning to London.

“We’re very excited EPT is returning to London and for the Hippodrome to be playing a central part in what is certain to be a key future event in the annual poker calendar,” Hippodrome director of poker Kerryjane Craigie said.

“We’re gearing up for an amazing 11 days of poker and honored once again to be partnering with PokerStars. We will have more cash games available than ever before with 40 tables, and with special offers for all poker players this will be a memorable tournament for all.”

Platinum Pass Up for Grabs in Added PokerStars Road to PSPC Stop in UK; Online Qualifiers Begin

The PSPC kicks off Jan. 29 in the Bahamas and PokerStars has announced that one final Platinum Pass is up for grabs via a podcast contest.

PokerStars returns to the Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club in Nottingham, United Kingdom, with a new stop on the Road to PSPC schedule.

The latest event runs Aug. 25-29 and features a Platinum Pass on the line to the winner in the £340 Main Event. That tournament takes place over the full five days of the festival.

Beyond that event, there are a number of side events players can check out as well. The site is already giving online poker players a shot at winning a tournament seat.

[cta id=1754 type=cta]

What is the Road to PSPC tour?

PSPC stands for the PokerStars Players Championship and is scheduled for January 2023 in the Bahamas. A Platinum Pass guarantees a complete tournament package for the winner plus one guest including:

  • tournament buy-in
  • airline flights
  • hotel stay

The entire package is valued at more than $30,000 and the event takes place at the Baha Mar hotel resort. The inaugural PSPC ran in 2020 with Spain’s Ramón Colillas, a Platinum Pass winner, topping a field of 1,039 entries.

That $25,000 buy-in event produced a prize pool of $26.5 million and Colillas scored $5.1 million for the win. The pandemic led to the cancellation of the event in 2021-22, but the tournament now returns next year.

Platinum Passes have become highly sought after among players. PokerStars also offers other chances to win via social media contests and other means.

Another Platinum Pass opportunity in the United Kingdom; online satellites available

Those heading to the Nottingham series have the opportunity to win one of the coveted passes. Players can also win a Nottingham seat by playing online.

“Players Choice” satellites are already running nightly on PokerStars via the .COM, .EU, and French and Spanish platforms. The satellites also run three times per week on the Italian platform as well.

Players can win more than one entry, which they can use as multiple entries to Nottingham. Tournament seats can also be used at other stops on the Road to PSPC schedule.

These events offer some nice opportunities for players to take a shot at a Platinum Pass.

Road to PSPC rolls on

Beyond the Nottingham stop, Road to PSPC tournaments continue around the world in the coming months. Action concluded recently in Liechtenstein, France, Spain, San Marino, and Brazil.

However, more action is right around the corner, offering players several opportunities to win a Platinum Pass. Here’s a complete look at the Road to PSPC tour.

World Championship of Amateur Poker Returns to Partypoker; UK’s Dusk Till Dawn Hosts Live Events

The World Championship of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) returns to partypoker Live this month, running online June 19-26 and live June 29 – July 3.

The World Championship of Amateur Poker (WCOAP) returns to partypoker Live this month in association with the Amateur Poker Association and Tour.

The series runs June 19-26 online and then June 29 – July 3 in a live setting, offering amateur players plenty of opportunities to get in the action. The schedule continues a trend at partypoker of offering both live and online options during the same series.

“We are thrilled to be bringing the WCOAP back to Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham (United Kingdom),” APAT CEO Leigh Wiltshire said in a news release.

“Along with the incredible online schedule provided by partypoker, recreational poker players will have an amazing two weeks of poker to get involved with. We hope everyone has a great poker experience in whichever WCOAP events they choose to play.”

[cta id=2982 type=cta]

Inside the partypoker WCOAP series

Players will find plenty of options in the World Championship. All tournaments in the series are freezeouts, helping to create a level playing field, according to partypoker officials.

The first starting flight of the £150 Main Event begins online. All players finishing in the top 15% of the field then head to Dusk Till Dawn to complete the tournament.

While the online starting flight is a freezeout, players who bust can still enter a live Day 1. The WCOAP Online comes with several tournament formats including:

  • Six-Max
  • Eight-Max
  • Progressive knockout (PKO)
  • Turbo PKO

All online-only events feature a $55 buy-in with the exception of the $109 Eight-Max Championship. That event is set for June 26 with a $75,000 guarantee.

A look at the live schedule

The series then moves to a live setting, the first time Dusk Till Dawn has hosted the series since 2013. The live schedule offers a variety of events including Short Deck, “round of each” (NLHE/PLO), tag team, mix-max, and bounty tournaments.

The Main Event resumes live on July 1 with an additional starting flight the following day. The champion will be crowned on the final day of the series.

All live championship event winners earn a commemorative bracelet on top of the prize money. Online satellites for the WCOAP Live are already underway.

Players can also buy into the WCOAP via holding tanks at partypoker, the LuxonPay app, or in person at Dusk Till Dawn. Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

The first week of the festival brings a $109 Seven-Max PKO online event. The tournament comes with a $250,000 guarantee. An $11 Mini Knockout also gets underway with a guarantee of $50,000. Players will find numerous starting flights in both events.

The £150 Main Event kicks off on March 6 with several Day 1 flights and a £150,000 guarantee. There will be several ways for players to buy into the tournament including:

  • buying into partypoker holding tanks
  • Luxon Pay
  • cash at Dusk Till Dawn

Live action begins when Dusk Till Dawn hosts part of the Main Event from March 10-13. A total of 12 Main Event Day 1 flights are planned, with nine running online and three running live.

The second and final day of action is set for March 13 with all players reaching Day 2 making it in the money.

Geared toward recreational players

With the Grand Prix UK, party is once again reaching out to recreational players. To accommodate this player segment, three of the online starting flights will be in the “Sprint” format.

Levels last just three minutes, speeding up the process and allowing competitors to get into the money faster.

Players of all bankrolls can battle for a shot to be a Main Event champion. Numerous online satellites are planned with buy-ins starting from just one cent.

Those registering for the championship online also have a chance for some added value. These participants are automatically entered into a “Last Longer” competition.

The top 10 finishers in the Last Longer receive a range of prizes including:

  • a $22 Grand Prix Mini ticket
  • an official golden chip card protector
  • a collectors’ merchandise goodie bag

The winner of the Last Longer earns a £550 ticket for a future live event at Dusk Till Dawn.

The $22 Mini Main Event also offers nine starting flights and a $50,000 guarantee. The tournament concludes on the final day of the series.

The last day of the festival also brings a $109 Super109 Six-Max PKO with a $75,000 guarantee. Here’s a look at the complete schedule.

Free prizes up for grabs with Magic Cards

In other site news, the Magic Cards promotion returns to partypoker this month, offering players a chance at free prizes.

The site is giving away a daily free pick and players can earn an additional higher-value pick by playing fastforward, cash, or SPINS games.

Players competing in those games are in luck with Magic Cards, which runs through March 1. After playing any qualifying formats, they can head to the “Offers/Promotions” section.

Players then start a poker journey to earn a daily pick. Those participating choose one of four cards and each selection could reveal an instant prize.

Rewards can include poker tickets, free sports bets, free casino spins, cash prizes, and more. The promotions section shows when they can next unlock a Magic Cards pick.

Beyond the daily free pick, players can give themselves an extra chance to win each day. Players contributing $3 in rake earn a second daily pick.

“We are bringing Magic Cards back as a non-intrusive engagement layer to create extra winning moments for all our players,” partypoker’s promotions and planning manager Robin van den Heuvel said, “and create more enjoyment for their favorite fastforward, cash, and SPINS games.”

888poker returns to Grosvenor Casinos’ The Vic Poker Room in London for the second edition of 888poker Live Weekend from Feb. 17-20.

888poker returns to Grosvenor Casinos’ The Vic Poker Room in London for the second edition of 888poker Live Weekend from Feb. 17-20. The event also helps celebrate the online poker site’s 20th anniversary.

Fans can expect plenty of action and also have opportunities to qualify online as well. The event also will include an appearance  of the latest 888 ambassador, middleweight boxing champion Chris Eubank Jr.

The site has several events and promotions planned as part of the big weekend.

Get in the game at 888poker Live Weekend

The Vic is home to London’s longest-running poker room and once again plays host to 888poker Live. The weekend features two main events as part of the festivities.

The first of those is the “Chris Eubank Jr. KO,” a 45-player sit and go. The six-handed final table sees players joining Eubank at the table, which will be streamed live on 888pokerTV, the site’s official Twitch channel.

The event comes with a £10,000 prize pool as well as a £10,000 bounty on the boxing champ. Players in the United Kingdom can earn tickets into the tournament online via daily freerolls.

The second major event is a multi-flight £444 No Limit Hold’em tournament. Players can also secure a seat through qualifiers starting for as little as 1 cent.

Additionally, 888poker will also be offering $55 online qualifiers. The live portion of the tournament features four starting flights  on Feb. 17, 18, and 19. Another turbo qualifier is also planned for Feb. 19 with Day 2 set for Feb. 20.

The tournament will use “shot clocks” and time bank cards to deter slow play. Here’s a complete look at the Main Event structure:

  • Starting stack: 30,000
  • Day 1 level time: 40 minutes (15 minutes for Day 1D Turbo)
  • Day 2 and beyond level times: 40 minutes and then 30 minutes once five-handed at the final table
  • Re-entry: Unlimited
  • Registration: Open until the draw for Day 2

More information on the online freerolls

Those looking to qualify online will find daily freerolls running through Feb. 11. Players must be located in the UK and the top three finishers each win a seat to the Chris Eubank Jr. KO.

A total of 39 players from the 888 online freerolls win seats in the event. No ticket is needed for these daily events.

There’s even more on the line in the freerolls. All 39 qualifiers receive a free ticket to the £444 Main Event.

Chris Eubank Jr. becomes latest 888 ambassador

Boxing fans may recognize Eubank as the former two-time IBO super middleweight world champion. He’s currently ranked No. 1 by the World Boxing Association and BoxRec in the global middleweight division.

In 2021, he defeated Marcus Morrison and Wanik Awdijan and squares off against highly-regarded contender Liam Williams in February.

When the gloves are off, Eubank is also an avid poker player. He’s played high stakes games around the world and also competed on PokerGO’s Poker After Dark. His signing as an 888 ambassador helps the company kick off its 20th anniversary celebration.

“Poker is one of the great passions in my life, so I am delighted to partner with 888poker,” he said. “For me, the beauty of poker is in its community. And 888poker is doing a fantastic job of making poker more about fun and less about the grind for players in all levels with its user-friendly platform.

“I’m excited to officially kickstart the partnership in the coming months and can’t wait to meet the 888poker community at the tables.”

Partypoker LIVE Returns with Grand Prix UK; Options Also Included for Online Players

Partypoker LIVE returns with Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club hosting the £150 Grand Prix UK Jan. 16-23 with a £100,000 guarantee.

Live poker continues to return and partypoker is getting in on the action to kick off 2022. Players can look forward to partypoker LIVE returning in the United Kingdom with Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club hosting the £150 Grand Prix UK this month.

The two-day tournament runs from Jan. 16-23 with a £100,000 guaranteed prize pool. The tournament also allows plenty of flexibility for players. The tournament offers live or online formats for players to battle it out in the Grand Prix.

“We’re really looking forward to getting back to live poker and returning to Dusk Till Dawn with the much-loved Grand Prix brand,” partypoker head of live events Dan Rose said in a news release. “The team can’t wait to be back on the ground and meet the players after such a long time away.”

Live and online choices come with the return of partypoker LIVE

Those looking for opportunities to play in the series have several options. There will be four online starting flights with the first two running on the opening day of the tournament. Two more are set for Jan. 18.

The live Day 1 flights commence on three consecutive days from Jan. 20-22, with Day 2 taking place the following day. Players can also enter the live starting days by buying in online via a holding tank.

Partypoker regularly offers a chance for players of all bankrolls to play. That continues with the Grand Prix UK.

Two of the four online Day 1s are designed for recreational players looking to fit some poker around their busy schedule. These are built around an interesting addition to the event: “The Sprint.”

Levels for these online Day 1s last for just three minutes, speeding up the process. These allow players to qualify for Day 2 and get into the money faster.

All players who reach the tournament’s second day will cash. All Day 1 flights are capped, so players wishing to enter are advised to buy in early.

Even more online aspects included

Additionally, buying in with partypoker via the online Day 1s or holding tanks offers players entry into the Golden Chip Last Longer.

The player winning the contest scores a £1,100 Main Event ticket for a festival set to take place in March. More details on this festival will be released soon.

“It’s great to see poker back at my local poker room Dusk Till Dawn,” Team partypoker’s Carl Froch said. “The new Sprint Day 1 format where you can qualify for Day 2 in a lot less time is ideal for people who, myself included, like playing on the app.

“And it’s a great idea for recreational players who don’t have loads of time on their hands. If you like the sound of this event, make sure you get in there early. It’s a great start for live poker back in Nottingham and I’m looking forward to the next big event we can put on there.”
