The Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game returned to action on Wednesday for the second of three sessions. Thanks to some players backing out, Day 2 became a $500,000 minimum buy-in rather than the $1 million minimum it was initially supposed to be. However, that did not hinder action, as there were still many big pots and notable moments.

Michael “Texas Mike” Moncek was one of the headliners for the Wednesday stream, thanks to his notable high VPIP sticky style of play. His gunslinger style of never backing down from a hand and stretching poker hand probabilities always makes for must-watch action.

His interesting take on how to play cash game poker worked out in his favor on day 1 of the HCL Million Dollar Game, winning $1.5 million.

Unfortunately for Texas Mike, as good as day 1 was, he lost all of his profit and then some on day 2. He would leave the game early as the big loser of the session, $1.72 million in the red, which was nearly three times more of a loss than the second biggest loser of the night. He will look to bounce back on day 3 on Thursday.

Outside of Texas Mike, one of the stories of the night ended up being 24 year old Jasper, who was playing in the biggest game of his life. He ended the session with a nice $145K profit.

Haralabos Voulgaris was the biggest winner of the night with a profit of $821K. He finished the night in three-handed play with Alan Keating and Peter Wang after everyone else left early at various points of the night. While Keating and Wang have had several big clashes in recent sessions, including a $2 million pot just a few days ago, they did not play a notable hand against each other on this particular night.

These popular cash games are taking place at the Hustler Casino in Los Angeles. LA will be a big location for poker in the May as the Commerce Casino will play host to the WSOP Tournament of Champions. The final night of the HCL Million Dollar Game will be on Thursday at 4 p.m. Pacific Time.
