Vegas Infinite, a VR gaming platform for virtual poker and casino games, will launch its first community fundraising campaign for the Right to Play charity with “Right to Play Weekend.”
Presented by PokerStars, the Right to Play Weekend will begin Friday, June 27, at 6:00 p.m. ET and will last until Sunday, June 29, at 11:00 p.m. Every Vegas Infinite purchase within that time frame will be donated to Right to Play until the $100,000 goal is reached.
Right to Play is a worldwide organization that protects, educates and empowers children to rise above adversity through the power of play. They work with children in some of the most challenging places on the planet and aim to keep their childhood play spirit alive even in the midst of war, hunger or displacement. They operate in 14 countries and have been around for 25 years.
Vegas Infinite is a VR-enabled social casino game. It began its life as PokerStars VR in 2018 and changed its name after adding other types of virtual gambling in 2023. It allows players to explore a virtual resort and engage with other players around the world while playing a variety of casino games.
Right to Play Event Highlights New Poker Environment
Right to Play weekend will be held in Vegas Infinite’s new environment, The Poker Room. The charity tournament will feature 52 events, with turbo and hyper turbo options. There will be high roller events as well as a Main Event and Mini Main Event. There will be prizes given that include Right to Play memorabilia to bring more awareness to the charity.
James O’Reilly, Director of Disruptive Innovation at PokerStars released this statement on the charity weekend:
We’re honored to help PokerStars’ long term charity partner continue their work to reach millions of children in some of the most difficult places on earth. Giving others the opportunity to play, interact, communicate and learn with others is a mission we wholeheartedly support and I know our wonderful, caring community of players at Vegas Infinite will step up to help in any way they can.
