The World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star final table was set on Tuesday, with Chance Kornuth highlighting the final six players. The decorated high-roller ended the final day of play with the fourth-largest stack and will now play for the $480,700 top prize in December.
Kharlin Sued will join Kornuth at the final table as chip leader when play resumes. The WPT has not announced a date for the conclusion of the tournament, but it will happen sometime during the WPT World Championship. Each player has secured at least $101,000 for sixth place.
This was the first iteration of the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star since 2017. The event returned with a lot of fanfare and excitement over who would get the honor of being a Shooting Star, signifying a player with a $2,500 bounty.
Kornuth Holds Last Remaining Bounty
Kornuth was one of those Shooting Stars. And so far, nobody has collected his bounty, as he has made it all he way to the final table. Every other Shooting Star has been eliminated.

Kornuth has more than $21 million in career earnings according to the Card Player archives and is a four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner. He has also made four WPT final tables now. He seeks a second career WPT title after WPT Choctaw in 2022.
Sued, meanwhile, has more than $2 million in career earnings. He would secure a career-best cash with a third -place finish or better.

The return of the Shooting Star tournament produced 672 entries for the $5,300 buy in. After the several year hiatus of the event, the numbers dropped off a bit from the last version in 2017, which drew 806 entries for a $7,500 buy in. The 672 also represented a drop from the 2014-16 entries.
