GGPoker has added a “streamer mode” to encourage poker content creators to use its platform. The new mode offers 100% rakeback, the company touted in a Thursday press release.
According to GGPoker, trend lines on Twitch poker look grim. GG’s release says that even as total poker channels increased by 9% in 2025, total watch time and average viewership both dropped by about 44%.
GGPoker: Poker Streaming ‘Slowly Dying’
GGPoker relayed a somber conclusion: the poker streaming community is “slowly dying” due to a lack of support. With the company viewing streaming as a critical customer acquisition channel, it decided to take action.
Through streamer mode, GGPoker will give approved streamers 100% rakeback on all broadcast sessions. The company states there is no qualification in terms of number of viewers or dollars won. All the streamers have to do is share poker with their viewers by streaming the action.
The GGPoker World Series of Poker Online series, which just began on Sunday and runs all the way through September, offers a prime upcoming opportunity for content creators to keep rake in their own pockets.
Promotion of streamers on GGPoker is also a key piece to streamer mode. Other players at the table will be able to see if a player is broadcasting and can join the stream through a couple of clicks.
That will help players like GGPoker ambassador Kevin “KMart” Martin. He spent the weekend streaming his deep run in a WSOP online bracelet event, including a journey to the final table.
The response to this new feature was largely positive. One comment on X called it perhaps the best improvement they have ever seen for the medium:

What Does GGPoker Streamer Mode Do For Players?
No other competitor offers such a hefty rakeback outside of sponsored players. GGPoker hopes to give the streamers a greater spotlight and bigger stage, generating more interest in online poker. GG also promised a streamlined technical process to make streaming easy and safe.
Another aim for streamer mode is to help less established creators grow their platforms. Streamer mode creates a path for them which GGPoker hopes will foster a win/win environment. They’ll keep their play on GGPoker thanks to a better bottom line, and growth will occur in both their audience and on the operator.
The poker streaming world has become top-heavy, with most opportunities going to creators who already have massive followings. While that can be entertaining, it is shortsighted. We needed to change that for the future of our game.
