With the PokerStars Winter Series already underway at the international platform, players in Southern Europe and Italy can also now get in on the action. The series kicked off on those platforms on Dec. 25 and runs through Jan. 16.
Players in France, Spain, and Portugal will find a schedule of 299 events with more than €10 million guaranteed.
Buy-ins range from €10 to €250 with a €125 Main Event set for Jan. 9 with a €1 million guarantee. Italian players will also find numerous events and nice guarantees.

What to expect from the PokerStars Winter Series
Players on the PokerStars Southern Europe site have a lot to look forward to. Along with the Main Event, players will find a host of major tournaments and a wide range of poker variants.
PokerStars is also offering numerous opportunities for players to qualify. There is a variety of ways that players can win their way into the series.
The Winter Series Ticket Machine is awarding €175,000 worth of Main Event tickets. Players must opt in on the challenges window and play a series event to be entered into a daily drawing.
The higher the buy-in of the tournaments played, the more entries a player receives. The site is also offering players a Winter Series Depositor Freeroll ticket. That event awards €25,000 in Main Event seats.
Second Chance Freeroll tickets are also awarded to players who bust out of a Winter Series event. The ticket is good for a freeroll the following day.
Players in France can also jump in special €6 Spin & Go’s throughout the festival. These give players the opportunity to win a Main Event seat.
Winter Series also coming to Italy
Players in Italy can also expect some nice Winter Series action. The festival runs over the same dates as in Southern Europe with a total guarantee of more than €6 million.
The schedule includes 138 events with a €250 Main Event on Jan. 16 offering a €500,000 guarantee. Italian players can also qualify for the series through:
