Poker players planning on traveling to Las Vegas in the coming months may want to check out the Vegas Fabulous Five-Day Sale, which began yesterday and will run all week. In particular, some of the deals might save you some money on accommodations if you’re going to be playing in the WPT World Championship in December.
The sale is part of the “Welcome to Fabulous” brand campaign presented by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA). Monday, September 22nd, marked the full release of the details of the deals, which last through Friday, Sept. 26th.
With five days to act on the deals, there are a few that can benefit any poker player looking to come to Vegas in December for the WPT World Championship, which runs from Dec. 2nd-22nd.
Unfortunately, there are no deals for staying at the Wynn, which is hosting the WPT World Championship. However, there are some good deals available for nearby properties.
Deals For Poker Players
The Palazzo and Venetian are right next door to the Wynn on the north part of the Las Vegas Strip. The Venetian is already a popular destination for poker players, with many series of its own. Both properties will be offering up to 33% off regular rates on suites, plus a $50 cocktail credit.
Sadly, that deal won’t be available for the first half of the series. The special rates only kick in on Dec. 14th. However, that coincides with Flight B for the WPT World Championship $10,400 Main Event. So, that presents a good option for players only planning to show up for Flight B or C, and the tail end of the series.
Poker players are likely very familiar with the Horseshoe, as it has hosted the WSOP for the last few years. It is offering a deal of up to 50% off hotel rooms. While a 25-minute walk up the strip to the Wynn is a further distance than from the Palazzo or Venetian, it is still more manageable than many of the other properties on the strip.
Harrah’s and the Flamingo likewise have 50% off room rate deals. Both are even closer to the Wynn than the Horseshoe. Though less upscale than the other options, they’re right next door to the Venetian and provide a good option for poker players looking to attend the Championship on a budget.
The week-long sale applies to more than just accommodations. Resorts World is offering a $150 dining credit at the high-end restaurants on site. The credit applies for those who book rooms at any of the Hilton, Conrad, or Crockfords branded properties in town.
The exact offer depends on the property:
- Hilton = complimentary prime rib meal
- Conrad = $150 at FUHU, ¡VIVA! or Wally’s
- Crockfords = $150 at Stubborn Seed, Aqua or Kusa Nori
Some of those hotels might require taking an Uber to the tournament. However, Resorts World is walking distance from the Wynn, so poker players booking one of those hotels can take advantage of the dining credit to enjoy a luxury meal between events.
