PartyPoker is one of online poker’s longest-running brands. During the early years of the industry, it was in contention for the market lead.

However, when the U.S. passed the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act in 2006, PartyPoker took a more cautious approach than its competitors. Its decision to withdraw from the U.S. spared it from being caught up in Black Friday five years later. However, in the meantime, it had lost a significant portion of its traffic.

It remains a significant presence in the global dot-com market. However, its regional presence is vanishing. Its European network is now just a skin for the iPoker Network. It has a U.S. site in New Jerseybut its owner Entain has elected to focus on the BetMGM Poker brand that it shares with MGM Resorts International, and hasn’t expanded PartyPoker to other states.
