Like all self-respecting university students in the early noughties, Daniel Smyth found his way into poker via the internet. Initially anteing up on PokerRoom.com in between lectures, he eventually had the bright idea of combining his passion for words with a career in poker. With his English degree complete, he set out bluffing his way into various publications before landing a job with WPT Poker Magazine as a content writer before taking over as strategy editor. Since then, Daniel has produced content for the industry’s biggest names, including PokerStars, PokerStrategy.com, CardsChat, Pokernews, and now PokerScout.
